Acupuncture reduced chronic pain and improved physical function

A new clinical research from 6 Bronx primary care community health centers studied the effect of acupuncture on chronic musculoskeletal pain including neck pain, back pain and osteoarthritis pain. In this study there were 779 participants with chronic (> 3 months) back, neck, or osteoarthritis pain. They were offered weekly acupuncture for 12 weeks. The result has shown that chronic pain was reduced, and physical function was improved at 12 weeks of acupuncture treatment.
