Stress and anxiety

Stress is the body's reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response. The body reacts to these changes with physical, mental, and emotional responses. Most people experience stress from time to time. The level is different from person to person and from one event to the other event. The feeling of being stressed can be triggered by an event that makes you feel frustrated or nervous. Anxiety is a feeling of fear, worry, or unease. It can be a reaction to stress, or it can occur in people who are unable to identify significant stressors in their life. Everyone feels anxious at some point in their life, but for some people it can be an ongoing problem. A little bit of anxiety can be helpful, but too much anxiety could make you tired and unable to concentrate. Symptoms of anxiety include, feeling worried or uneasy a lot of the time, having difficulty sleeping, which makes you feel tired, not being able to concentrate, being irritable, not being able to relax etc. When you're feeling anxious or stressed, your body releases stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol which cause more symptoms: fast heart beats and breath, palpitations, chest pains, headaches, sweating, feeling faint etc.

Acupuncture can help reduce stress and anxiety.
